Transaction Capability

Clickatell has developed a multi-channel transaction switch which is translatable via any automated channel including Point Of Sale, ATM, internet banking, mobile (WAP 2.0, WIG, USSD, App) and interactive TV.

Clickatell's direct prepaid offering is a real-time, pinless, top-up solution supporting purchases through various service channels. This differs from the traditional 'indirect' prepaid top-up method in that no prepaid PINs or vouchers are required.

Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD)

USSD enables our clients to reach and interact with their customers via a low cost, low touch and high reach service channel, thereby effectively addressing their cost to serve and need for inclusivity. These interactions are created in a real-time, bidirectional manner via a customer's mobile phone, independent regardless of the mobile device type, with no download requirement or SIM card dependency.

Our Clients' consumer base typically consists of a vast, and varied and potentially unbanked African audience, potentially unbanked, African population where English may not be their first language. For these reasons, our solution supports various local languages and is easy to use, irrespective of the geographic region. Clickatell's value proposition is unique in that we adopt a regional approach with central hubs operating out of Southern, Western and Eastern Africa.

Fully Managed Service

Clickatell's extensive support structure includes dedicated resources, a Network Operating Centre and an eContact Support Centre. We enable our clients to connect to our Transaction Engine and USSD router in order to enjoy the benefits thereof without having to worry about managing the networking infrastructure, contracts with MNOs or reconciliations and invoicing themselves.
